Ipswich Town have re-signed striker Luke Varney on a short-term deal, lasting until January 2017.
The 33-year-old was previously on terms at Portman Road, having departed the Blues at the end of last season.
Varney, previously of Blackburn, Charlton, Portsmouth and Leeds, will take the number 12 shirt and will come straight into contention for the league match with Brentford tomorrow (Saturday), being expected to provide cover for the injured Brett Pitman (thigh).
