PREVIEW: AFC Sudbury vs Bowers & Pitsea (Buildbase FA Trophy R1Q)

AFC Sudbury welcome Ryman North side Bowers & Pitsea in the Buildbase FA Trophy on Saturday afternoon.

Date: Saturday 29th October 2016
Competition: FA Trophy sponsored by Buildbase - First Round Qualifying
Kick-Off: 3pm
Location: Wardale-Williams Stadium, Sudbury

The Essex based visitors will appear in the first round qualifying round of the Trophy for today's clash, the furthest the club have ever been in the competition.

Last season, the Yellows reached the second qualifying round - beating Barton Rovers 4-3 in a replay, and Hendon, before crashing out to Hampton & Richmond 3-1. The season before, AFC reached the first round proper.

Cambridge Utd loanee Dylan Williams, and new striker Aidan Austin could both make their home debuts this afternoon for AFC.

Bowers & Pitsea's team include one-time Swindon Town midfielder Harry Agombar in their team, and he could feature for the visitors today. Meanwhile, Harley Kee will not feature after joining league rivals Great Wakering Rovers in the past few days.

This afternoon's winner pocket £2,700 and a spot in the second qualifying round.

Halifax Town are the holders, after beating Grimsby Town 1-0 at Wembley in last season's final, with eight wins needed for a team to reach Wembley at this stage.
