Striker Callander leaves AFC for Bishop Stortford

AFC Sudbury have announced that Luke Callander will be departing the club, to join Bishop's Stortford.

Callander (L), in action against Phoenix Sports last season

Callander announced on Twitter on Saturday that the club accepted a bid for him, after playing his last game.

AFC Manager Jamie Godbold made a statement on the club website yesterday to announce the news, with assistant boss Andy Reynolds suggesting a replacement is expected.

Callander joined the Yellows in 2015 from Chelmsford City, and has made 87 appearances, scoring on 40 occasions.

The forward was part of Sudbury's team which won promotion to the Ryman Premier League, last season.

We wish him the best of luck.
