PREVIEW: AFC Sudbury vs Hendon FC

Relegation threatened sides AFC Sudbury and Hendon face each other in a critical Ryman Premier match on the Ryman League Community Day.

Date: Saturday 25th March 2016
Competition: Ryman League Premier Division
Kick-Off: 3pm
Location: Wardale Williams Stadium, Sudbury
Free entry available for one adult and one child with this ticket

The Yellows have been on a poor run of games, being only able to pick up two wins since the start of February, and currently lie 23rd, two points from safety. They were defeated 3-1 at home to Harrow Borough last weekend.

AFC would hope to receive three points from the abandoned reverse fixture, which ended in a stale fashion. Sudbury were leading that match 2-1 in injury time, but following a brawl in front of the two dugouts late on, the referee decided to call off the match.

The north London side - who play their home games three miles away from the national Wembley Stadium - have picked up some crucial results over the past few weeks, including wins over Leiston, Billericay and Needham (last weekend), and will be feeling confident travelling to King's Marsh.

The Greens are currently 22nd, just a point ahead of the Yellows, and will be without midfielder Marcel Barrington, who is away on international duty with South American team Guyana.

Captain Sam Clarke's booking against Harrow Borough, and Ryan Henshaw's dismissal in the same match see the pair unavailable for Jamie Godbold's side. Kieran Monlouis has left AFC to join St Albans City, while Liam Wales on dual-registration away at Thetford Town.

AFC Reserves travel to Coggeshall Town in the Thurlow Nunn First Division (3pm) while an AFC side will travel to Barking Reserves in the Essex Senior Reserve league.

Sudbury supporters can vote for their player of the season, with voting beginning in the clubhouse at 2pm Saturday. Buckets will be available for visitors to donate to Red Nose Day, while free entry is available for an adult and child as Sudbury support the Ryman League Community Day.
