AFC Sudbury 0-4 Bognor Regis Town

It was another day to forget for Sudbury who were swept aside by title chasing visitors Bognor Regis Town.


The Rocks went in 2-0 up at the break thanks to strikes from Jimmy Muitt, after Jamie Baker was dismissed for the hosts. The Yellows produced a bright performance in the first half.

Former Brighton striker Muitt picked up his hat-trick with his effort, ten minutes from the restart, before Darren Budd made it 4-0.

Craig Parker saw his late penalty saved by visiting goalkeeper Lincoln.


Can the Yellows escape the drop?


Mathematically speaking, the Yellows are not relegated yet, but are FOUR points from safety.  They sit 23rd after today's fixture.

22nd placed Hendon came from behind to beat 19th-placed Folkestone 2-1 at the Fullicks Stadium, and are a point from safety.

21st placed Kingstonian were held to a goalless draw with Worthing, while 20th placed Leatherhead fell to a 1-0 loss at promotion chasing Leiston.

Meanwhile, Grays Athletic, who are already relegated, were defeated 5-0 at home to Harlow.

Jamie Godbold's side travel to 7th placed Tonbridge Angels next Saturday (15th April, 3pm), before they host 8th placed Needham Market two days later (Mon 17th Apr, 3pm). Their closing fixture is away at 17th placed Canvey Island.
