Colchester United have signed Gillingham defender Ryan Jackson, on a two-year deal.
The 26-year-old started his career at AFC Wimbledon, and was part of the Dons' squad which were promoted to the Football League in 2011.
He went on to play for league sides Macclesfield and Newport County, before moving to the Gills in 2015.
Fellow defenders Richard Brindley and George Elokobi have both departed the club, while Kane Vincent-Young has signed a one-year extension to his contract.
