AFC Sudbury management team exit club

AFC Sudbury have announced that the management team of Jamie Godbold and Andy Reynolds have been relieved from their roles at the club.

Jamie Godbold and Andy Reynolds both left the club on Tuesday evening, despite a 3-0 win over Brentwood Town - Jake Turner, Mekhi McKenzie and Adam Mills were on target for the Yellows.

The pair joined the Suffolk club in January 2015, and went on to reach the play-offs that year. A year on, Godbold and Reynolds led the side to the Ryman North championship trophy.

However, Sudbury's first season in the Isthmian Premier saw them relegated, with many of the championship-winning team moving on.

The club confirmed during the summer that Godbold and Reynolds would remain, but have now said that the duo have been relieved.

Academy director Danny Laws has been named caretaker manager, while the board search for a replacement.

Best of luck to Jamie and Andy in the future.
