AFC Sudbury learn cup opponents

AFC Sudbury have learnt their opponents for the early rounds of the FA Cup and FA Trophy, after the draw was made earlier this week.

The Yellows will host Surrey-based club Egham Town in the Extra Preliminary Round of the Buildbase FA Trophy on Saturday 29th September.

Egham will play in the Bostik League South Central Division in the upcoming season, after being transferred from the Southern League.

The winners of the tie will face Greenwich Borough on October 13th, 2018.

In the Emirates FA Cup, the Yellows will host on Suffolk and league rivals Mildenhall Town, on Saturday 25th August, in the Preliminary Round.

Both sides met each other in the First Qualifying Round of the FA Cup last season, when AFC won the replay 4-2 at Recreation Way (after a 1-1 draw).

Last season, Sudbury and Mildenhall went head-to-head on four occasions: Town won 2-0 at the King's Marsh Stadium, while AFC won the reverse fixture 1-0 away in the league fixtures.

Meanwhile, AFC's Bostik North league fixtures will be released on July 19th, with the season kicking-off on August 11th, 2018.
